What reviewers say

The innisfree No Sebum Matte Mineral Powder is widely praised for its exceptional oil-control capabilities, making it a favorite among users with oily and combination skin. It is noted for its lightweight, translucent, and blurring effect that leaves a smooth, matte finish without feeling heavy or cakey. While highly effective as a setting powder and even as a dry shampoo, the most frequent criticisms concern its small container size and the potential for a white cast if applied too heavily.

Loved

  • + Excellent oil control for oily and combination skin
  • + Lightweight and breathable formula
  • + Provides a blurring, smooth, and natural matte finish
  • + Versatile as both a face powder and dry shampoo
  • + Fragrance-free and generally non-irritating

Complaints

  • Small container size is perceived as poor value
  • Can leave a white cast if over-applied
  • Not recommended for very dry skin types
  • Packaging can be prone to spilling

By skin type

Dry: Not recommended as it may be too drying or accentuate texture.Oily: Highly effective for controlling shine and keeping the T-zone matte throughout the day.Sensitive: Generally well-tolerated and fragrance-free, though one user reported localized irritation when powder entered the nostril.Combination: Works well when applied specifically to oily areas like the T-zone.

The Verdict: A Holy Grail for Shine Control

If you deal with an oily T-zone that turns into a grease slick by noon, the innisfree No Sebum Matte Mineral Powder is likely already on your radar. This cult-favorite K-beauty staple has earned its reputation for one specific reason: it actually stops shine in its tracks without feeling like you are wearing a mask.

Why It Works

The formula is remarkably lightweight, providing a translucent, blurring effect that makes pores look less visible while keeping your makeup locked in place. Unlike heavier pressed powders, this mineral-based formula feels breathable, making it a perfect companion for humid climates or long days. It is also completely fragrance-free, which is a major win for those with sensitive skin.

Who It Is For

  • Oily Skin: This is your best friend for all-day shine management.
  • Combination Skin: Use it strategically on the T-zone to mattify without drying out your cheeks.
  • The Multi-Tasker: Believe it or not, this powder is a secret weapon for oily hair; a quick tap on the roots works as an effective emergency dry shampoo.

The Downsides

While the performance is stellar, it is not without its flaws. The most common complaint is the size of the container—it is quite small, leading some users to feel it lacks value over time. Additionally, be careful with your application: if you are too heavy-handed, the powder can leave a noticeable white cast on the skin. It is also best to avoid this if your skin leans very dry, as it can cling to dry patches and emphasize texture.

Final Thoughts

If you are looking for a reliable, no-nonsense powder to keep your complexion matte and smooth, the innisfree No Sebum Matte Mineral Powder is a top-tier choice. Just remember that a little goes a long way, and you will get the best results by applying a light dusting rather than piling it on.

I just use this for under my eyes after I add some concealer, but I don’t put it all over my face because it makes me look like a ghost.

If you struggle with an oily scalp, you need this. I have incredibly greasy hair, and this powder works absolute wonders.

The powder itself is very very fine and dry (which seems obvious for a setting powder but I’ve found this can be hit or miss) the only thing I can think to compare the texture to is rice flour - it does not clump or stick together AT ALL which makes it super easy to apply and sweep away any excess.

The tiny size is my biggest issue. It gets over in under a month.

Llevo 1 semana probándolo, muy bueno, absorbe la grada y mantiene seca con un toque como polvo pero no se siente pesado.
