The First Step in Your Double Cleanse Routine

If you are looking to simplify your evening ritual, the AROMATICA Vitalizing Rosemary Pore Cleansing Oil is a strong contender. Known for its lightweight, thin texture, this oil-based cleanser glides across the skin to dissolve sunscreen and daily impurities with ease. It features a refreshing, natural rosemary scent that turns a mundane chore into a spa-like moment.

Who It’s For

  • Dry Skin: You will appreciate that it cleanses without stripping away essential moisture, leaving your face feeling soft and hydrated.
  • Combination Skin: It balances the complexion well, effectively lifting sebum without clogging pores or triggering breakouts.
  • Sensitive Skin: Most users report no irritation, though those with extreme sensitivities should note the inclusion of natural fragrance.

The Pros and Cons

Pros:

  • Texture: The lightweight formula spreads effortlessly, making it easy to massage into the skin.
  • Finish: Unlike heavier balms, it feels weightless and leaves the skin feeling supple.
  • Efficacy: It is excellent at breaking down sunscreen and light makeup.

Cons:

  • Stubborn Makeup: It may struggle to remove waterproof mascara on its own, so consider a separate eye makeup remover.
  • Residue: If you skip the second step of your double-cleansing routine, you may notice a slight oily film on the skin.
  • Packaging: The plastic bottle and somewhat fragile pump are the primary points of critique for frequent travelers.

The Verdict

The AROMATICA Vitalizing Rosemary Pore Cleansing Oil is a reliable, gentle workhorse for daily use. While it isn't a miracle cure for heavy-duty waterproof mascara, its ability to cleanse while maintaining skin hydration makes it a staple for anyone practicing a thorough double-cleansing routine.

When I pumped a few drops of this 'oil' I was surprised that it is on the thinner side, almost like a watered down oil, which is a good thing.

Unfortunately, I always have to follow up my daily cleansing routine with an additional product to remove the mascara under my eyes that this oil never cleans.

The scent of rosemary is light, but noticeable. Not so strong that it smells like Christmas or anything, but definitely noticeable while washing my face.

At the current price of about $25, I would definitely prefer a glass bottle rather than the frosted plastic that it comes in as the branding makes it seem like a luxury product, but it’s presented in cheap packaging.

My only complaint with this product is that the spout was broken off in the box. Without the spout it's difficult to dispense the product without it going everywhere.

All in all, this addresses all my (sebum on my nose, UGH) skin concerns, while staying gentle and hydrating enough for daily use.
